CUCiMOC (pronounced Cookie Mock) is an acronym for Cisco UC integration for Microsoft Office Communicator and was publicly released for download on July 13th. For those of you who may not have heard of or are not that familiar with CUCiMOC, it allows your MOC client to integrate directly with Unified communications Manager 7.x (actually 6.1.3 and later)….WITHOUT Cisco Unified Presence (CUPS).

Hunt groups are a great CUCM feature. However,  Cisco does not support call pickup or group pickup for hunt groups by default. Luckily, there is a workaround. To enable pickup for calls directed to a hunt group (hunt pilot, hunt list, line group) , enter bug ID “CSCsb42763″ into into the System > Enterprise Parameters > “Cisco Support Use 1″ field.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to use the Cisco IP Services SDK to search Microsoft Active Directory without having to integrate Unified Communications Manager with LDAP. This can be useful if you have a multi-tennant environment or if you want to use an existing Active Directory database as an additional directory.

WOW! It has been quite awhile since I have made a post. Let me first apologize for that. As Josh had stated, both of us have been very busy with various things (family, work, study etc). For those of you who had been following my progress with my CCIE Voice studies may remember back in February when I had stated that I was able to secure a lab seat in RTP for one last attempt at the voice lab before blueprint changes were going to be made mid-July.

Before getting started with this little tip, I just wanted to drop a short note to you all to let you know that James and I have not abandoned the blog. We have just taken an “unannounced” three month vacation. Or you could say that “life happened” to us both and three months slipped by.

I have been trying to find the time to put together something really impressive after being out for so long, but I have decided it is better to just get back to work. As a way of getting back into the swing of things, I thought I would do a small writeup on an IOS feature that I recently stumbled across. I have known for a while that it is possible to pass commands between Linux machines via ssh by simply adding a command to the end of the ssh command string. I recently tried it on a router and to my surprise … it worked. Cool!
