Dynamips router emulation software is capable of emulating 2691, 3620, 3640, 3660, 3725, 3745, and 7206 series hardware. During this tutorial, I will show you how to use different IOS images with a 3640 example.

When you are finished with this tutorial traffic will flow from your PC’s loopback interface, through router R1, through the T1, through router R2, out the NIC on your PC, to the ethernet LAN and out to the internet.

Dynamips and Dynagen are basically vmware for Cisco IOS. This software runs actual IOS images for several cisco platforms including the 7200 series. That’s right "actual" ios images. This is not a flash simulator that is missing half of the commands. When studying for CCNA, CCNP and CCIE exams, this software is a must. I hope you enjoy the video tutorial.
