Thanks for the tutorial.
I implement the automatic backup for the cisco 2950 and 3750 switches ( 145 switches ) and its works fine.
Now the second line can make changes and they dont have to think about a backup.
realy SUPERRRRRRRRRR.

Anyone have any issues where the config starts to write to the server, but then it just stops in the middle of the transfer?

Is there a way to get it to save the file it writes to the SCP server with a certain filename, such as the date?

@Malcolm: I had that problem and I eventually figured out that it was a firewall problem. Removed the firewall and it worked!

Thanks for providing the great option for auto backup of cisco. But i am having the protocol error when i am doing write-memory on cisco router.
FYI i have followed your tutorial using OpenSSH for windows and the ssh is working fine on the PC but giving error on cisco while saving the config
Any Suggestions?? help is appreciated.

Thanks to all but i have found the issue..this was ssh version2
I activated ssh version2 on cisco and it worked
