Cisco – Command logging without TACACS
Posted by Josh on Thu 19 Jul 2007Categories: Cisco , Cisco Routers - [4] Comments
Router configuration accounting is an important feature for any Cisco Engineer or Network administrator. Until recently, the only way to log configuration changes has been with a TACACS server. Syslog notification of configuration changes was introduced in IOS release 12.3(4)T and was integrated into IOS release 12.2(25)S.

If I use the archive command like on the tutorial above it would be permanent or I have to do it everytime?
Thanks

It is permanent. The configuration options show up in the running config.

Dear Mr.Josh,
I would kindly request if you can provide the video for configuring the TACACS+ server using Cisco Access Control Server 4.0, The configuration should be on the Switch, Router and on the Server side.
I will be very much obliged if you can do this favour to me.
