[...] This part is pretty easy. Loopback interface is the interface that straightly connected with the router on GNS3. blindhog.net got the great video about how to do it. So I’ll just leave it to them. http://www.blindhog.net/cisco-dynamips-with-microsoft-Loopback-interface-video-tutorial/ [...]

I was able to set up a Windows VPN using XP home. However it is not terribly reliable. I would recommend a product/service called Hamachi from a Log Me In Inc. It is an excellent zero configuration VPN, free for home use but they do charge for commercial use. I use their remote control product, Logmein, extensively. It too is free and an excellent remote control product. Hope this helps.

When I drag a router into screen ; it says hypervisor is already on port 7200 . I close gns3 and ran task manager , but no process related to dynamips such as dynamips-wpx.exe was there . My workaround was to use from external hypervisor . but in external hypervisor the first router that I put in screen is R1 not R0, and how can I use from hypervisor manager again ?
(I am using win xp SP2)
Thanks.

Hi
I am working with GNS3 . Today I hit the export from file column file > export .
But after that I could not configure even one router ,because it says " HYPERVISOR IS ALREADY RUNNIG ON PORT 7200" . I addressed this with manual hypervisor. but can you tell me how to do something to ignore that anoying message and still work from port 7200the , same as before ? I mean is there any thing to delete or ... ?
thank so much.
Take care

Not sure what's going on, but when I set up the loopback GNS3 works great. However, nothing else does. The PC can't access the real internet. When I do a ping or traceroute, I see it trying to go out the loopback interface. Any ideas on how to fix that?
