I know this is not directly “Cisco” related but valuable. I have recently been searching for free alternatives for Webex and GoToMeeting for desktop sharing and meetings. I found a few different alternatives. My favorite by far is DimDim.com

Hi Josh,
While searching for free desktop sharing programs, did you test out Mikogo – the free online meeting tool? http://www.mikogo.com
Mikogo is a free desktop sharing tool perfect for online meetings and online collaboration, that allows the user to share any screen content in real time. There are many Mikogo features (with more features in the soon-to-be-released new version) which include: screen sharing, switch presenter, remote keyboard and mouse control, file transfer, application selection, 256bit AES encryption, and more….
With application selection you can choose which applications and open windows you wish to transmit to your participants and which ones you wish to keep hidden for privacy reasons.
By switching presenter you can grant presenting rights to a participant and let them take charge of the meeting and share their screen content.
The remote control feature enables remote keyboard and mouse control of a participant’s screen, which can be switched to other participants as well with their consent.
With the Skype Extra you can make calls and share your screen all for free (https://extras.skype.com/1672)
No feature or time limitations. All Mikogo users can host free online meetings as often and for as long as they wish – at no cost.
No configurations or network/firewall changes required, plus no registrations or installations for participants.
I hope you have a moment to take a look at our website, and consider it as an addition to your collection of free desktop sharing tools.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Cheers,
Andrew
