I cannot get my console to work. I tried this but it did not work for me. I realized my router is not starting.
When I type list in the GNS3 console area I see that the state is "stopped"

Hello!. 1.I`m using the GNS3 this week. I created the project with two Pix and one Router. I can run router with pix. when I started and then run console the router is frozen and display Connected to Dynamips VM R1 (Id. 0, type c2600)and I can`t access to the IOS.
But if I use on a project only one router I can work fine!
2. I try to remove a cable or router but display the message pmuwrapper does not support removal!
Bye

Need little help here.

I am new to GNS3,trying to run a basic lab using 3 routers(7200).I got everything up and running except for putty.

After i start all 3 routers,I click on R1 and then Console and I have access to R1 but for some reason putty session doesnt seem to be working for R2 and R3.Putty window opens up and then disappears. So it works for R1 but not R2 and R3! any idea?

could it be related to the image I am runnning on 7200??(C7200-IS-M), Version 12.2(7a)

Cheers

For Linux (I use Ubuntu),

1. Install PuTTY from Synaptic Package Manager
2. In General settings of GNS3 preferences windows, modify "terminal command" field for "/usr/bin/putty -fg green -bg black -telnet %h %p"

And your're done!

brian,

Thats odd. Hover over the pix icon until the summary dialog shows up. Find the console port.

Open putty. Telnet to 127.0.0.1 and enter the port of the pix in the port box in putty.

You should be able to see the error from there.
