   VMware Player 2.0 comes with VMware Tools. That’s the reason the download is now about 120MB compared to the 24MB for VMware Player 1.0.

   Uh, any explanation on how to use this please? There’s no documentation that i’ve found that explains how to use vmware tools if it’s included with vmware player 2.0 thanks.

   Mitch,

   All the .iso images for vmware tools can be found in this directory on your PC.

   C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player

   This just cuts out the download step from the video.

   I dont see any .iso files in C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player. All I see is \vmware-tools\upgrader.exe that doesnt seem to do anything

   trying to install vmware tools for a windows host and linux client. vmware player 2.5.0 build-118166

   confused,

   You are right, the vmware tools iso’s are not included with VMWare Player anymore. You might try following the video above or download vmware server, extract it and look for the iso images.
