Hi,
I am also facing the same problem. As of in latest version of gns3 there is no pemu. we have only qemu. Pix was working perfectly with pemu. Does we have to do some other settings for qemu to work with pix.

instead of using 127.0.0.1 have you tried using localhost in the address field. try to use hyperterminal. see if it pops a message. do update me. i’ve been using dynamips since it was first released. will try my best to help you out.

OK – I have loaded GNS 3.0.7.2
It’s running on XP 32bit.
I have tried every PIX OS from 4.4.1 to 8.0.4.

I can NOT get to the console, period. Just as several people have described in this thread, when I console, the connection attempt to 127.0.0.1 pops up and then disappears (See Bob’s post #73, and Carsten’s response #76). I don’t care about licensing, features, telnet, ssh, or anything else. I’m confused why I can not simply console into the PIX.

As the video shows, it’s not rocket science, especially with the Pemu integrated to GNS/dynagen since release 3.0.5. I’ve been searching for solutions for 4 hours now, and can’t believe that this issue has been around since 2009 and neither fixed nor solved. Can anyone help?

Hi All, is there any one who can help me in trouble shoot ASDM issue with GNS3.i am able to ping through my PC to the firewall, telnet also.I loaded ASDM but unable to launch ASDM.Ie and firefox can not load ASDM, Java is updated .
Please help

Hi josh

I am trying to configure the asdm with gns3 but i couldnt
I configured the microsoft loopback interface and it to the cloud.

I am not able to ping to the cloud
and
I had the latest trial version of tftp from solar winds dont know how it works

Please help me with this

Please Chris I have been trying to upgrade pixfirewall failover after I successfully upgraded the primary firewall. I just could not connect to the console no matter how hard I try. I full out the failover pix but the console won’t come up. What should I do?

I have recently installed GNS3 0.5. I still can’t console into the pix emulator irrespective of the image I use. I have no trouble with the routers, just the firewall. I have followed the tutorial but I cannot figure it out. Can you help?
